Classic Fighter Meet

This rare footage was recorded by professional camera crews at the event in the early 1990’s and has never before been made available on DVD. Classic Fighter Meet features almost an hour and a half of non-stop action, capturing the spectacular events and aircraft, which made Fighter Meet a legend.

Witness a low level aerial dogfight between two Me 109s, a Spitfire 1X and two P-51D Mustangs. See a rare re-enactment of WWII Japanese aircraft attacking ground targets and marvel at one of the largest World War One dogfights ever recreated, featuring a Fokker Triplane, Eindekker, Sopwith Camel, Fokker V11 and an SE5A.

From the WWII era, there are two F4U Corsairs, A Douglas A-26 Invader, the YAK 11, B-25 Mitchell and a Grumman Avenger flying formation with both a Catalina and the legendary B-17 ’Sally B’, plus of course, the Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Other highlights include a Fairey Flycatcher, a Hawker Hind flying formation with a Gloster Gladiator, piston and jet Provosts, the BAe Hawk, four Harvards, a Lockheed F-80 Shooting Star and a rarely seen Norwegian F-16 Fighting Falcon.
