Young poets could win an MP3 player

A competition is being run in conjunction with a half-term drop-in poetry workshop at Harleston Library.

The competition, now in its second year, is sponsored by Rackhams Funeral Service and is open to children of any age with a first prize of an MP3 player.

To help entrants craft their poem, which must be about summer, the drop-in poetry workshop will run at the library on May 28, 10am-noon. All entries to the competition will be displayed in the library in July.

Refreshments and a small keepsake will be given to children attending.

The competition will close on July 14, followed by a prize-giving at the library on July 21.

Poems may be left at the poetry workshop, or posted to 11 Exchange Street, Harleston IP20 9AB. They should be marked with the child’s name, address, telephone number and the name of a parent/carer. The winners will be notified by telephone.
