Old Buckenham Parish Council hopes to form a working party to monitor activities around the future site of a new complex needs school in the village, following concerns from residents and councillors alike.
The £11.8 million relocation of Chapel Road School from Attleborough to land off Abbey Road, nearby to the Old Buckenham Primary and High Schools, gained planning approval last year.
The party is planned for after the local council elections in May, to audit people crossing the road at school times and assess the possibility of implementing a crossing warden and a private access school route.
This comes after reports of several near misses close to the existing schools, leading up to the installation of 20mph speed signs.
Construction on the new school is expected to begin this August.
