Preparations for the fourth annual Waveney Valley Food & Drink Festival are in full swing, as the organisers put out a call for local cuisine connoisseurs to get involved when the event arrives this October.

The festival, spanning across seven market towns, including Diss, Eye and Harleston, sees growers, farmers, producers, retailers, pubs, restaurants and cafes come together to host numerous ‘foodie’ events.

Taking place over ten days from Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 11, the festival, which is a collaboration between Waveney Valley Tourism Forum, local councils and sponsors, will include tastings, farm tours, demonstrations, special local menus, community events, special offers and open days.

Organisers are now urging more groups to become involved by setting up their own event, or devising a special product or promotion to coincide with the festival, and they are also seeking volunteers to form a network of Festival Champions throughout the Waveney Valley market towns, who will liaise with local businesses.

To learn more or to register interest, contact Clare Millar, festival co-ordinator, via clare@whoopmarketing.com or by calling 07908 730188.
