Video: Pulham Music Day

This year's Pulham Music Day was dedicated to the memory of its founder, Dr Patrick Rawlence, who died earlier this year.

Toby Foster was at the event with the Diss Express video camera to film some of the action. Click 'play' to see and hear the sights.

About 400 people attended Sunday's event, which included artists such as Dave Thomas, Gill Alexander and the ever popular blues brothers Paul & Robin.

Dr Rawlence set up the music day 18 years ago and it has gone from strength to strength.

The much-loved local GP died aged 92 in January and his daughter Biddy paid tribute to him at this year's music day.

Ann Ford, who organised the event with Dr Rawlence for 15 years said she hoped he was 'up there enjoying it'.

"It was really lovely and it was such a good day because it was in Doc's memory," she said.

"Without him, there wouldn't have been a music day.

"It was his faith in local people that meant we could hold such an event."

Young bands Matt, Dan & Becks and Spitfire also entertained the crowd, carrying on Dr Rawlence and Mrs Ford's vision that the event should encourage all sorts of music from all sorts of age groups.
