A well-known pub in Diss throws open its doors once again today, now sporting a new look following a major investment into redeveloping its facilities.
The Waterfront, located in Mere Street, is returning to business after closing briefly to carry out a comprehensive refurbishment, which has resulted in new furniture, paintwork and lighting, as well as a revamp of the kitchen and cellar areas.
Stuart and Sarah Carpenter, managers at The Waterfront, said: “We are really looking forward to showing off the new look Waterfront.
“We have been here six years now and have worked hard to make the pub a more family friendly and female friendly environment.”
In celebration of the re-opening, live music will be provided courtesy of local singer Dale Bullimore, who will perform his popular Michael Buble tribute show.
Mr and Mrs Carpenter added: “The Michael Buble tribute act night is typical of the kind of themed entertainment events we like to offer and we always combine these evenings with food and drink promotions.”
The Greene King pub, which previously won South Norfolk Council’s Pub of the Year competition back in 2014, has also added a disabled toilet to its existing step-free access, making it accessible to even more visitors.
Anthony Hemmerdinger, managing director of Greene King’s locals division, said: “It is always exciting when the doors to a newly transformed pub are once again opened to our customers.
“This is a huge change to the Waterfront, but one I am sure the local people of Diss will thoroughly enjoy.”
