Will Young will perform on Friday June 24.

The Corrs said: “We love open-air summer shows, so are really looking forward to playing Newmarket Nights on June 17 after the races.

“We had a fantastic time touring our new album ‘White Light’ at the start of the year so can’t wait to get back on the road to perform all our hits for a few familiar faces and more this summer.”

Since releasing their album ‘Forgiven, Not Forgotten’ in 1996, the band have gone on to sell more than 30 million albums worldwide.

After a ten year break to spend time with their families or concentrate on solo careers, the group returned last year with their album’ White Light’ going straight into the UK charts at number 11.

Will Young said: “I’m really looking forward to playing outside under the sunny eastern skies at Newmarket Nights on June 24, I always have so much fun at the races.”

Since winning the inaugural Pop Idol competition, Will has become a national icon.

His sixth studio album ‘85% proof’ topped the charts in 2015.

Amy Starkey, Regional; Director East of Jockey Club Racecourses said: “We are so excited to be announcing a further two artists for 2016 Newmarket Nights for what is going to be a very special year for both Newmarket Racecourses and the town.

“Celebrating 350 years of making history n Newmarket, it is fantastic to have another two internationally acclaimed acts including the return of Will Young to the Adnams July Course as well as welcoming the Corrs for the first time.

“We look forward to another great summer of top quality Flat Racing and music at Newmarket Racecourses.”
