Tattoo shop opening quite a to do

Diss mayor Jane Trippett-Jones opened a new tattoo and piercing business following a colourful town centre parade.

Bliss officially opened on Saturday after an Alice In Wonderland-themed parade through the town to drum up business for the new venture in Victoria Road.

It is run by Diss residents Ray Horne and David Garrett, who have had the studio inspected by an environmental health team to ensure it is fit for purpose and a certificate will be on display.

The pair said they work to strict ethical guidelines, not piercing anyone under 16 or tattooing anyone under 18.

Mr Garrett said: “We were really pleased and very grateful to have Ms Trippett-Jones come down to open the studio.”

Mr Horne added: “She seemed really interested in the studio itself and looked like she enjoyed her time here with us.”

The studio is open 10am-6pm, Tuesday to Saturday, and is opposite the Rose Lane turning.

n The public can view graffiti artist Tom Reynolds outside the studio from 2pm tomorrow creating a piece of work which will be displayed inside.
