Takeaway plan given go-ahead

An application for a takeaway in Attleborough town centre has been given the green light by Breckland Councillors this week.

The applicant, who owns the Quick Stop convenience store in Church Street, has been granted permission to transform a section of the shop into a takeaway.

The grocers had originally been two separate shops, one of which was a fish and chip shop, before the two buildings were converted into a single unit.

The new plans were objected to by Attleborough Town Council which was concerned about potential littering and cited the town was already well equipped with takeaways.

But a Breckland Council spokesman said: “The objections have been listened to and considered, but I can confirm the application for the takeaway outlet has been approved.

“(Owner) Mr Ozcan is now free to begin work on the conversion.”
