South Norfolk’s own outstanding building design competition is open for entries again.

Run by the district council, the competition is now in its 16th year. “The aim is to inspire and champion building design excellence,” said councillor Lee Hornby.

“The awards celebrate the local expertise, hard work and vision involved in creating wonderful buildings that help our district stand out as being special.”

Entries are invited in four categories: Design for Living, Design for Working and Services, Heritage Conservation and Landscape Design. Past winners have included family homes, a library, schools, community centres and public open spaces.

Nominations by September 11 are invited from owners, building professionals or members of the public. More information from www.south-norfolk.gov.uk/designawards
