All ten of the high school's cluster schools took part in a morning netball and football skills session, followed by an afternoon tournament.

The day was organised by 35 Year 11 Diss High pupils, who were being tested for their Sports Leader Award.

They all passed on the day, assessed by Area Sports Leader UK representative John Maiden, who said they were already working at the next level up.

The leaders set up netball skills including shooting, footwork, getting free, passing and marking, while in football goalkeeping, shooting, heading, passing and dribbling were covered.

Diss Partnership sports co-ordinator, Rosemary Bloom said: "Thanks go to Diss High teachers James Kemp and Emma Somers, who deliver the Sports Leaders Award and have done a brilliant job.

"It enabled all pupils participating to develop their netball and football skills in a fun and relaxed atmosphere and you could tell from their smiling faces that they had all enjoyed the day."
