A long-standing funeral home operating across south Norfolk and north Suffolk is hoping to complete its hat-trick of awards for this year following back-to-back successes at two recent ceremonies.
Rosedale Funeral Home, a well-known business with branches in Diss, Attleborough and four other locations, received the accolade of Most Innovative Support during the Smiles Awards held by Norfolk-based bereavement charity Nelson’s Journey, just shortly after two staff members were recognised by South Norfolk Council for their continuing fundraising and community work.
The funeral home could make it three from three if it is selected from a shortlist for a ‘Big Heart’ award at the national 2015 Family Business Place Red Ribbon Awards.
Rosedale funeral director Anne Beckett-Allan, who established the business with her husband Simon 11 years ago, said: “It’s been an incredible year, we are absolutely over the moon to have been recognised by South Norfolk Council and Nelsons Journey, and it would be the icing on the cake if we were to scoop a third major award.
“Every day brings fresh challenges and it’s a tribute to the entire team that the way we conduct ourselves has received such recognition.
“I hope our success will inspire other small businesses to stay true to their values and to keep going.
“When you are up against huge corporate giants it’s not easy, but hopefully we’ve shown that you can still make your mark,” she added.
In addition to its ongoing funeral services, Rosedale Funeral Home recently launched a number of bereavement support groups.
