Another successful Spring Show was again held at Roydon Village Hall on Easter Saturday.

Hosted by the Diss and District Horticultural Society, there were displays of daffodils, tulips and pot plants along with decorative classes.

The big winner of the day was Roly Copping who scooped 18 first places across many different classes. His bowl of daffodils was awarded the Cole Silver Challenge Cup for most meritorious exhibit in show and also the Alfred Elliner Memorial Cup for best exhibit of daffodils.

Other winners include Ken Jolly winner of the Silver Challenge Plate for best decorative exhibit in show. Sylvia Grace who was awarded eight first places and the Jean Wills Memorial Cup for most meritorious exhibit in the domestic and handicraft classes.

Society chairman Greta Sturgeon said “I’m pleased with all the entries and it’s good to see a nice bright show which was well supported by the public.
