A long-standing farmers’ market is inviting the community to celebrate their 15th birthday next month.

Rickinghall Farmers’ Market, held at the village hall just off the A143 between Bury St Edmunds and Diss, has provided visitors with a wide variety of local produce, including rare-breed pork, chicken, lamb, beef, eggs, cakes and more since 2000.

It is held on the second Saturday of every month.

Their market next month, set for October 10 from 9am-12.30pm, will also feature a special Halloween Hunt.

A spokesperson on behalf of the market said: “Rickinghall was one of the very first Farmers’ Markets in East Anglia, and its continuing success bears witness to the quality and value of what is sold there.

“Prices are fair, and stand comparison with the best products elsewhere. The stall holders get to know many of their regular customers well, and everyone receives a warm welcome.”
