The organiser of an annual charity bike ride in Redgrave has praised the community’s continued support of the event as it looks to break the £6,000 fundraising milestone.
Ben Hopwood, 29, bar manager at the Cross Keys Pub in Redgrave, is preparing for the fourth charity bike ride, which departs on Saturday, August 6.

Departing from the pub, the riders will complete a 26-mile cycle through Diss, Winfarthing, Banham, Kenninghall and The Lophams, before returning to the Cross Keys for a complimentary buffet and evening of karaoke.
The fundraising total stands at just over £5,000, and money raised this year will be donated to Clic Sargent and the MND Association.
Mr Hopwood’s uncle, Jason Newman, suffered from motor neurone disease and died in 2014. He added the two charities have helped support people in the village.
“It is not all down to me, I have had people help me do it and I could not have done it on my own,” he told the Diss Express.
“It makes you proud of the community that such a small place can raise that amount of money in these four years, it is incredible.
“It is a great community day out.”
