Fire crews from across Suffolk were called to a blaze which tore through farm buildings in Framlingham.

The incident, which happened in Coles Green yesterday at about 12.17pm, was attended by fire crews from Stradbroke, Halesworth, Leiston and Framlingham.

The fire took hold of 70 per cent of farm buildings at the scene, with asbestos also involved.

A spokesperson for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said the asbestos and chemicals at the scene were contained and posed no threat to the public.

UK Power Networks also attended the scene as a precaution.

Fire crews had the blaze under control by 3.34pm, and had left the scene by 7.50pm.

No one was reported to have been hurt in the incident.
