New Buckenham commemorated the completion of their newly-refurbished kitchen at the weekend with a massive Pancake Extravaganza.

Many village residents gathered at the hall in Moat Lane for a special pancake-making event, organised by Village Hall Trust members, on Sunday, with activities and games for adults and children.

The £25,278 catering kitchen was installed thanks to funding provided by Breckland Council, the Geoffrey Watling Charity, the Bernard Sunley Charity Foundation, the Saffron Community Foundation and the New Buckenham 100 Club.

Juliet Fulford, chairman for the New Buckenham Village Hall Trust, said: “With this fantastic new kitchen in place, we can easily cater for a wide range of functions such as conferences, weddings and parties.

“This will make a significant contribution to running costs and ensure we can maintain and sustain the village hall as a valuable community resource.”
