Two burglaries which occurred on the same street in Needham on the same day last month have been linked in a police appeal for witnesses.

Between 3pm and 6pm on Thursday, February 19, a property in High Road was broken into, with various items, including a mobile phone, jewellery, sunglasses and a money box containing £10 in cash, being stolen.

Norfolk Police believe this is connected to a separate break-in in High Road that happened some time between 7.15am and 7pm on February 19. The incident resulted in the theft of a starting pistol, a wooden window frame and £20 in cash.

DC Lisa Cook said: “We have conducted house-to-house enquiries in the area and are looking to trace the male driver of a grey van which was in the area. He was selling garden furniture and may have important information about these two burglaries.”

Anybody who may have seen the van or any suspicious activities in the area between the times stated should call DC Cook at Thetford CID on 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
