More bins needed to avoid mess
As a frequent visitor to the pretty village of Palgrave, I find there is only one 'Poo Box', in Lows Lane, near Tesco.
As a responsible dog owner, I have to take my dog poo home in my car to Grundisburgh.
Surely there could be a few more put on the green? Perhaps then it would encourage people to use them instead of letting their dog foul the footpaths.
At the top of Lows Lane there is a notice saying you will be fined 1,000 if you do not clear up, Mid Suffolk Council needs to do something to ensure people actually do clear up after their dog.
Where I live and walk my dog, there are boxes on every corner, but then that is Suffolk Coastal Council which appears to have got it right.

In reply to the letter from Janet Moyse - Horses worse than dogs.
Dog poo needs to be cleaned up because it carries disease due to dogs being carnivores.
Horses, being vegetarian, do not transmit nasty diseases in their poo.
If horse poo is left it either dries up and disintegrates rapidly or is washed away by the rain – that is if someone hasn't grabbed it for their garden first!
Horse poo on the pavement is inconvenient but not harmful.
I appreciate the responsible and considerate dog owners in the town who do pick up their dog poo and who also take care to control their dogs around horses.

Sign up to end gas gun torture
I have lived at my current address in mid-Suffolk for 11 years and this is by far the worst year for gas gun bird scarers.
They started firing the week before Christmas and are still firing now. At their peak I was suffering 20 explosions a minute.
Guns regularly malfunction and fire all through the night.
I've tried pleading with farmers to lesson their use but their attitude is that they have every right to cause any amount of nuisance to protect their crops, no matter how effective the bird scarers actually are.
Adherence to the NFU Code of Practice is a sick joke.
I've complained to them but, provided no single gun is firing 'too often', there seems no enforceable limit to the number that can be employed in an area.

A super driver
I wish to thank the Simonds bus driver of the 2pm from Norwich to Diss on Tuesday, April 14.
He had to take us through a lot of countryside due to a problem on the A140 but at every stop he aplogised for being late.
