One step from TV performance

A Diss-based dance troupe could soon be seen on a popular Saturday night ITV programme.

LK’s School of Dance has been asked to audition in front of Britain’s Got Talent producers in London next Sunday.

Twenty-four youngsters aged between nine and 16 will attend the audition in the hope of going through to the next stage - which would involve performing to judges such as Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon.

LK’s School of Dance principal, Lynne Bailey, said: “We’ve now got a week and a half to squeeze in 34 hours of practice.”

The school is riding the crest of a wave right now, having won 41 trophies at a dance competition held in Sudbury last week.
