‘Naan’ better than losing four stone

AN Eye woman has lost four stone in almost four months after cutting out her favorite luxuries, Indian food and red wine.

Sue Curtis, 37, who now lives in Shelfanger Road, Diss, would tuck into five takeaways or meals out a week, before beginning her weight loss in March.

Four stones and two dress sizes later, Mrs Curtis has followed a healthy eating maintenance plan and now keeps her love of Indian food and red wine to the weekends.

Mrs Curtis, said: “I felt fat and lacking energy. Now I like myself again and feel alive. I have so much more confidence and energy and I can look in the mirror, and like what i see.”

Mrs Curtis, who is now a dress size 12, lost the weight using the Cambridge Weight Plan with help from John Howard, a local diet consultant, who also lost almost seven stone with the plan.

Mrs Curtis said after losing 12 pound in her first week she had the incentive to carry on and would urge anyone to do the same.

“It was really nice to go shopping and actually buy clothes I wanted,” she said.
