Mum's fundraiser raises cash for premature baby charity

A south Norfolk mother whose son was born 23 weeks early has raised cash to help other families with premature babies.

Emma Allen, 30, of Roydon, was featured on the front page of the Diss Express earlier this month with her 'miracle son' Charlie, now aged four, as she aimed to raise money for premature baby charity Bliss.

She and a friend held a meal and raffle in Essex, where she used to live, raising 1,300.

Mrs Allen said: "A friend suggested we did it and I helped with any organisation she needed doing.

"We were hoping to raise about 1,000 and we made a bit more.

"I'm hoping to do a similar thing in this area."
