A long-serving north Suffolk reverend was presented with gifts to mark more than three decades of community service.
Collecting the firescreen and scroll with his wife, Margaret, David Streeter worked at Horham, Stradbroke and Athelington and Redlingfield churches for 30 years until last October.
The pair received the gifts - tokens of thanks from church-goers and friends they had made from living in the area - after a carol service at St Mary’s Church, Horham, just before Christmas.
The screen was the brainchild of Horham resident Michael Whatling, who made the frame from 200-year-old reclaimed oak.
He enlisted help from local artists and craftspeople, who made the stained-glass panel depicting the four churches of the benefice, and the wrought iron handle and stand.
