A much-loved charity music event is set to return to Mendlesham next month following the success of last year’s sell-out edition.
Action Medical Research’s Gig in the Garden, which will take place at Wicks Farm on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12, will be “packed with more bands and entertainment than ever,” according to the organisers.
Money raised for the children’s charity will help to fund vital research for sick and disabled babies and children.
Abba tribute act Fabbagirls will headline the Saturday of the two-day event. Also known as Rock Chicks, they have provided backing vocals for artists including Lionel Ritchie, Queen and The Who. The Sunday headliner will be Polar Collective, returning for a third year.
Other acts set to appear include Lost Lungs, Underline the Sky, The Wilsons, The Wheres Spot Band, Banjaxeld, Jade Donno, Hard Actors, Tall Tales, and Charlie Law.
Activities run 12.30pm to 10.30pm on the Saturday, and 11am to 8pm on the Sunday.
Day tickets start at £12.50, while weekend tickets are £25 for individuals and £65 for a family of four; tickets for the Jazz Supper, on the Friday with music from the Breezers, are £30 for adults, and under-16 tickets are available at discounted prices. Camping also available. For more information visit www.action.org.uk/gig-garden
