On June 24, 2014 I was working in Palgrave and unfortunately had an accident. I received a nasty gash to my arm. I’d like to thank Mr and Mrs Roberts from Swan House, Palgrave for their kind attention and taking me to the Diss Health Centre for treatment.

Unfortunately, I didn’t receive treatment. The receptionist told me that the Nurse Practitioner had retired and nothing could be done at the Health Centre. She suggested that I go to A&E at Norfolk and Norwich University hospital or Bury St Edmunds.

I was disgusted, how in this day and age can a health centre with doctors and staff not be able to provide a basic health service?

I then went to the Churchill practice at Pulham, where I was greeted by a friendly, helpful receptionist who straight away arranged for me to see a nurse and doctor who patched me up immediately.

Well done to everybody at Pulham Surgery for an excellent service. As for the Health Centre at Diss, I’m mightily glad that I’m not one of their patients.

Dickleburgh
