On travelling to Eye for a school friend get together, I was surprised, and pleased, to see the wind turbines as I drove into Brome.

Moving away, ten years ago, I had not visited Eye for some time and so had not seen the turbines before. They look so graceful when rotating in the wind and are not an eyesore, or very noisy, as some claim. I stood under a group of them in Norfolk, in the early 1990s, when taking a group of children, in care, out and they wished to stop to see them.

I think the people who complain are just trying to stop anything happening in their back yard because they are scared of anything that makes sense to the majority of people. I do hope that they will not succeed in trying to stop progress.
