Have your say

I would like to draw attention to Suffolk County Council’s intention to end the contract next year with the valuable service provided 100 per cent voluntarily, run by Gordon Lawrence from Rickinghall.

SCC now intend to contract the whole service out with tenders being invited by December 15 2015.

The service has been operating for over 15 years, serving in excess of 20 villages and helps elderly and disabled people to access to day centres, health centres, hospitals, shops in addition to regular delivery of medication for those unable to fetch it.

I fail to see how this decision can possibly make economic sense or give anything like such a good service for those using it.
