Woman airlifted to hospital after horse kick
A woman was airlifted to hospital with serious chest injuries on Wednesday after being kicked by a horse.
The 38-year-old was clipping a horse at Hill Farm in Bressingham when it kicked her "square in the chest".
East Anglian Air Ambulance spokesman Rebecca George said: "The lady was flat out on the floor of the stable when the (air ambulance) crew arrived.
"She was conscious and breathing but in a great deal of pain.
"The crew immobilised her on a stretcher board and administered pain relief."
The woman had broken ribs and a possible fractured sternum and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital because of its cardio-thorasics capabilities.
The helicopter crew took off at 9.21am and arrived at 9.30am.
