A Wilby teacher is among 700 people nominated for the first ever Raising the Bar Awards from Suffolk County Council. Roisin Wiseman, who teaches Years 5 and 6 at Wilby Church of England Primary School, has been nominated twice for the Teacher Excellence Award. Winners are set to be announced on Friday, March 28.

The awards will recognise the efforts of Suffolk’s best education professionals, support staff, governors, non-executives and hardworking young people. “I feel flattered to have been nominated but I know it is down to teamwork, and Wilby is a wonderful place to be,” she said.
