Looking where to get rid of unwanted electrical items and your Christmas tree?

Toasters, kettles, TVs, hairdryers, video recorders and other small electrical items, working or not, can be dropped off between 9am and 2.30pm at Diss Youth and Community Centre, Shelfanger Road, on January 7 and the Apollo Rooms, Mendham Lane, Harleston on January 8.

If the equipment passes on-site safety checks, they will be available to be taken home for reuse, for free or for a small donation to charity from 11am.

So far SNC have held eleven WEEE events.

6,043 items have been recycled and 856 have been reused - a total of nearly 51 tonnes of electrical goods that otherwise would have gone to landfill.

For more information call 0808 168 3333 or visit www.south-norfolk.gov.uk/recycle.
