South Norfolk Council is holding more Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) events over the coming days, giving people the chance to get rid of unwanted items - including Christmas trees.

Toasters, kettles, televisions, hairdryers and other small electrical items, working or not, can be dropped off between 9am and 2.30pm tomorrow at Diss Youth and Community Centre, Shelfanger Road.

There is also a further WEEE event, running between 9am to 2.30pm, at the Apollo Rooms, Mendham Lane, Harleston on Wednesday.

Keith Kiddie, South Norfolk Councillor for Environment and Regulation, will open tomorrow’s event in Diss.

If the equipment passes onsite safety checks, they will be available to be taken home for reuse, for free or for a small donation to charity from 11am.
