Village sex shop bid refused
A second attempt to open a sex shop in a south Norfolk village has been refused by a planning committee on Monday.
Christopher Bottrell, who has a sex establishment license for premises on the Cloverfield Industrial Estate in East Harling, wanted to turn part of his current wholesale and mail order business into a shop.
But Breckland Council planning committee members rejected the application for reasons including the fact that the industrial estate was not suitable for retail use and would set a precedent that could take trade away from the village.
Breckland Council planning officers had recommended the application for approval.
Mr Bottrell had a similar application rejected earlier this year.
