Last week saw the residents of Dickleburgh take to the streets for a monumental spring clean of their village.

The village, and MP Richard Bacon, spent some of the day litter picking the streets of the village in their aptly named Trash Bash.

Ann Baker, Dickleburgh’s Parish Council Clerk, said: “It was a fantastic turn out- over 60 joined in, and we ran out of bacon butties.”

“It has raised awareness and cleaned up the local environment, everyone enjoyed themselves and commented on the ‘good feel’ and community spirit that was evident.”

“Thirty-five bags of rubbish, 25 bags of recycling, a sofa, armchair and lawn mower were collected in total. All in all a really great result for Dickleburgh village”.
