A vital community facility that serves one of Norfolk’s most sporting villages has undergone a £64,600 transformation. ,
Marion Chapman Allen, Breckland Council ward member for Harling and Heathlands, cut the ribbon to mark the completion of phase one of an ambitious project to repair and modernise East Harling Sports and Social Club Pavilion.
The pavilion is home to over 13 sporting clubs as well as for a variety of sporting and fitness activities. However in recent years, its aging facilities have struggled to cope. Provision was no longer good enough to host visiting teams, the expanding football team needed more space and, with more girls , a separate ladies toilet was essential. Phase two, starting shortly, sees refurbishment of the social facility.
