South Norfolk Council is inviting submissions from local residents, businesses and groups after launching the consultation period for the Long Stratton Area Action Plan on Friday.
The proposal, which serves as the council’s vision for the town up until the year 2026, outlines plans to construct 1,800 homes, with a view to later building a bypass and 12 hectares of commercial land, and expanding the town centre and transport provisions.
Councillor John Fuller, the leader of South Norfolk Council, said: “The Council is serious about delivering a bypass for Long Stratton and we need to be realistic that it is from the building of new homes and commercial premises that the money to build it will be found.”
Any submissions can be made online or in writing, with the deadline set at 5pm on Friday, October 24. For more, email email@example.com or call 01508 533805.
