More than 60 runners took part in the first Harleston community Pancake Day for 25 years in front of a large crowd on Tuesday.

More than 200 people watched and cheered on the contestants as they ran, with frying pans in hand, from the Market Place and along The Thoroughfare to Union Street.

The outright winner of the final race was Mike Davison, of the Harleston Players, while second and third places went to Paul Renaut, of the Rich Pickings bakery in the town, and Mark Coleman, of Sight and Sound, another Harleston business.
