VIDEO: Harleston tree planted by Queen Mother carved into ‘hands’ sculpture

A Harleston tree that was planted in 1982 by the Queen Mother has successfully been transformed into a sculpture called Harleston’s Hands.

The tree, which had been deemed a safety hazard, was cut down by Paul Kelly on Saturday.

“There was a bit of tree rot, which can make it difficult but the day went according to plan and I am happy with the end result,” said Paul.
