Two motorists have been taken to hospital after a crash in Attleborough this morning.

Emergency services responded to reports of a two-car accident on the B1077, halfway between Ellingham and Attleborough, just after 8am.

A driver of a Ford Mondeo had to be cut free by fire crews. The other car involved was a Vauxhall Corsa.

A man was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital complaining of chest and leg pain, while a woman was hospitalised with stomach pain.

A police spokesperson described both injuries as serious, but not life threatening.
