The Taylor and Hammond Education Foundation is now open to new applications from students in Diss. The Foundation trustees meet twice a year in order to distribute funding to young people to further their career.

Previously thousands of pounds have been gifted to young people to fund everything from university expenses and hairdressing equipment, to Duke of Edinburgh award costs.

Trustees consider applications from anybody under the age of 25 living in the area and who attended school in Diss. Funds aim to assist people in their chosen careers as well as one-off funding towards special achievements.

Applications can be obtained from the Clerk of Trustees Pat Simms via pat.simms@btopenworld.com and must be returned by September 8.
