A 24-hour sports marathon begins tonight in Diss to raise funds for a Kenyan school.
It is organised by Diss Christian Community Church (DC3) based in Vinces Road and starts at the centre at 5pm tonight in an event called Sport 4 Kenya.
Those taking part can experience the strange scenario of playing football at midnight, or volleyball at 4am.
A whole timetable of varied sports runs through until 5pm on Saturday.
Paul Holloway, one of the event organisers, said: “In 2011 we ran the first 24-hour event and along with sponsorship and support from local sports clubs, raised over £4,000 towards a school building near to the Manyatta slum district in Kenya.
“This new school building is part of the local charity started in Diss over 20 years ago - To Kenya With Love.”
The building is now well under way and is already occupied with classes with the final second floor stages nearing completion.
This year’s event is bigger and better, aiming to raise further funds to equip the new classrooms and also provide some basic sports equipment.
Sessions are available for everyone and every fitness level, some for children, teens, young and old.
