A team supporting people with learning disabilities and mental illness is through to the finals of a psychiatry award.
The team based at St John’s House, Palgrave, Burston House, Burston, Richmond House, Harleston and Lombard House, Attleborough, work for Partnerships in Care, an independent provider of care for people with mental illness, personality disorder, learning disabilities and other related conditions.
The team is in the running for the The Royal College of Psychiatrists Psychiatric Team of the Year.
They treat more than 80 patients in medium and low-secure hospitals, rehabilitation wards, as well as in the community.
Noted achievements by the Learning Disability Services team include collaborating with an NHS team to help discharge people back into the community successfully, helping learning and research in the field and producing useful data for performance monitoring.
The winner is announced at the awards ceremony in London on November 6.
