Suspended doctor leaves practice

One of the doctors suspended from Harleston Medical Practice in September is understood to have left the surgery.

Dr Brendan Boyle, who was suspended from the practice at the same time as Dr Patrick Frew, has reportedly left his post.

Both doctors were suspended by NHS Norfolk on separate matters and an investigation was launched but no reasons were disclosed for the enforced leave.

It has also been reported the surgery has issued Dr Boyle with a personal message of apology.

A spokesman for NHS Norfolk, said: "One GP from Harleston Medical Practice remains suspended by NHS Norfolk. The investigation into the circumstances of the suspension is continuing.

"NHS Norfolk confirms locum cover is in place to ensure continuity of care for patients."

Practice business manager Terri Clare refused to comment.
