Pupils at a south Norfolk high school are looking smart in the blazer-led uniform they told staff they wanted to wear.
Seen here modelled by six pupils from across the year groups at Archbishop Sancroft High School in Harleston, headteacher Richard Cranmer (also pictured) said that pupils have been telling staff of the “pride” they feel in wearing the new uniform.
In a novel move, the decision to change the old polo and sweatshirt uniform for a more traditional outfit was made following a request by the school council - which is made up of pupil representatives - earlier this year.
Mr Cranmer, said: “We are delighted to have introduced the new uniform at the school, and have had a fantastic start to the year.
“Students have commented on how excited they are to wear the new uniform, and are taking great pride in their appearance. The introduction of the new uniform is a direct result of the school body wanting to take action about an area of school life that they felt very strongly about.
“Following a consultation period of 12 months, we are delighted with the outcome, and it highlights the crucial role and responsibility that students have in making this school such an amazing place to learn and grow.”
