There were 90 tractors in the pink parade and organiser Annie Chapman hopes sponsorship will take the overall amount raised for Cancer Research UK over the past five years to more than 100,000.

"It was brilliant and we were so lucky with the weather – we could have been soaked," she said.

"We were astonished by the number of people who came to support us - there is a wonderful internal grapevine."

A cheque presentation will be made when the money raised by all participants has been counted later in the summer.
