FOUR worthy local causes are about to share in a £900 windfall – with your help.

The Diss Express is helping to launch two fundraising campaigns – one in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance and Eye Opportunity Group and the other for the Street Forge Workshop at Thornham Magna and Rickinghall Inferior Church Fabric Fund.

You can help to decide who gets the lion’s share of the money.

Support for the air ambulance will help towards the £4.2 million needed each year to operate its life-saving service and the opportunity group provides a pre-school group and support for families with children with additional needs or experiencing difficulties.

The fabric fund is helping with the up-keep of a historic and beautiful church.

The campaigns are being led by the Central England Co-operative foodstores at Church Street, Eye, and The Street, Rickinghall. There’s £450 up for grabs at the Eye store by the air ambulance and the opportunity group and a further £450 in the kitty at Rickinghall for the workshop and the church fabric fund.

Every time you shop at the stores until Sunday, June 29, you will be given a special green token. Place it in the collecting container for the cause you wish to support – and the one receiving the most tokens at each store at the end of the campaign will pick up a cool £300.

The other will be £150 richer.

As a reward for taking part in Token of Support, you can save £3 when you spend £20 on your next two shops at the stores in Eye and Rickinghall by using the special coupons on this page (page 15, Diss Express May 23).
