Rosedale Funeral Home is inviting families who have lost a loved one to join them on a ‘Walk of Remembrance’ around Diss to help raise valuable funds for local hospices.

There will be two routes for the event which will take place on Sunday August 3 at 11.30 am, a 3.7 mile walk or a shorter route of one mile.

Both walks will provide the opportunity to visit St Mary’s Church where a special ‘Book of Remembrance’ will be left for families to leave a message and light a candle.

“The walk of remembrance is a way for us here at Rosedale to give back to the many families that we have worked with,” said Derek Leeder, a founding funeral director.

Local hospices that will benefit include EACH Quidenham, East Coast Hospice, All Hallows Hospital and Priscilla Bacon Lodge.

“The work carried out by our local hospices is vital to our communities and so we hope that the walk will allow families to make a difference,” said founding funeral director, Richard Green.

Registration will cost £10 for adults. To take part, call 01379 640810.
