Suffolk County Council is considering responses to a consultation for proposals to close down Stoke Ash Primary School.
Close to the A140 near Eye, the school was found to be ‘inadequate’ by Ofsted last year, and has seen pupil numbers plummet from 21 in September to only three.
A spokesperson for the Suffolk County Council said: “The consultation ended on 31 January. We are currently considering the responses to the consultation and will announce the next step at the appropriate time.”
Dependent on the outcome of the consultation, a decision to proceed to issue a statutory notice must be made by the council by the end of February.
