Winners of a poetry competition organised by the Royal British Legion Stradbroke Branch received their prizes last week.

More than 80 children from Stradbroke High School entered the event, now in its second year and began at the start of November, challenging children to write about the First and Second World Wars.

The winners, pictured above, were presented vouchers at the school last Monday.

RBL Stradbroke Branch chairman Michael Burton said: “They were very well produced and a credit to the school. We want to come back next year.”
