Proposals on how home care and community meals services should be delivered in the future will be considered by Suffolk County Council’s cabinet next Tuesday.

The council received more than 1,000 responses as part of a 12 week consultation, which have been reviewed and used to develop proposals for the service. If Cabinet approves the recommendations, the new home care service will allow providers to work more closely with customers to make decisions on how their funding can be used to support them to live at home, as well as offering a wider choice of meals from more suppliers.

If agreed, arrangements would be made to support new and current customers when the community meals contract ends on September 30.
