Police trace lorry driver following collision with south Norfolk home

POLICE are tracing the driver of a lorry who fled the scene after hitting the roof of a home in Needham.

The incident happened in Mill Lane at about 9.30am yesterday, when a Renault curtain sided lorry drove down Mill Lane from Needham and struck an overhanging roof on one of the properties near the Mill.

Police believe the lorry stopped briefly under the roof before reversing all the way back down the lane at some speed towards Needham.

Significant damage was caused to the roof and the guttering was ripped off.

Police are making enquiries to trace the vehicle, which was blue and had no immediately visible livery or company markings.

Anyone with information should contact PC 356 Watkins at Halesworth Roads Policing Unit on 101.
